Ewan James Armstrong (Maxene)
Ewan is an actor and singer, originally from the Outer Hebrides, who has worked within theatre, television and music for over 15 years. Recent television credits including The X factor, Geordie Shore and forthcoming ITV series Britains Scariest Ghosts.
With a passion for Vaudeville and vintage drag/cabaret, Ewan has been described as “the Joan Crawford of the Edinburgh drag scene” in the past, so make sure to keep him away from the wire hangers!
Tom Harlow (Laverne)
Tom Harlow is an award-winning performer based in Glasgow, trained in operal musical theatre, dance and physical theatre. For the past eight years he has been touring the globe as a male burlesque performer, cabaret singer and MC delighting and bewildering audiences wherever he goes.
Tom was crowned Amsterdam King of Boylesque in 2016 and has been voted one of the top 20 burlesque performers in the UK twice in recent years. He has a full-time residency at The Riding Room in Glasgow, where he’s been singing twice a week for the past six years.
Martin MacLennan (Patty)
Originally from Inverness, Martin lives in Edinburgh and performs regularly in local plays, musicals and sketch shows, with past credits including cult Fringe hits Vampire Hospital Waiting Room and Ghost Cop. Most recently, he appeared in German company Theatrelabour’s production of The Last Day of Mankind, commemorating the centenary of the first world war ending.
Bugle Boys: Christmas Crackers is Martin’s third show with Civil Disobedience, after appearing in Roddy Bottum’s Sasquatch, The Opera at Summerhall last year, and in the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe production of Bugle Boys: A Salute to The Andrews Sisters – his first ever drag assignment.
